Any believers in a monotheistic god care to argue why they believe?

I'm really not looking to stir anything at all here. I was formerly a Christian (episcopalian), and was taught the basic arguments for the existence of god and for the existence of life on earth and the universe. I thought it was great to learn from Thomas Acquinas, William Paley, etc, and it meant i could defend my beliefs.

Over time, the conclusions i drew from these arguments changed, and i became an atheist. But when i ask Christians why they believe, they think i am trying to stir trouble, and say something like "its my belief and i am entitled to it", or "because the bible says so".

So anyone up for a proper debate on this one? What convinces you to believe in a God?
EDIT: Stop failling so hard, you empty posters who just want the two points! Either give a decent answer or get lost!
