I'm just starting to get serious about my photography, i don't have the equipment, at least any new. I have an old professional camera about 20 or so years old. but i bought a sort of pretend professional camera, lol. and i could use some websites to get me going on lighting, and exposure settings. really anything that would give me a better understanding of what i'm working with. I haven't had an opportunity to take a class yet, as i always seem to be a bit late signing up. any help would be appreciated :D

I'd research on taking depth-of-field photos. I took a black and white last semester and for the depth-of-field photos they really came out nice. Do you have a SLR? Thats what I used, I don't know much about other camera types but adjusting the FStop controls the type of depth-of-field you get.

Other cool shots are motion, I think aperture is what you adjust with motion.... I'd goggle motion photography as well.

A good place to start would be a place with a lot of people, doing every-day activities. It's just really neat capturing the moment a person is in
