okay, so i have a mac computer and everything's going great with it....easy to use...fun programs...lots to do etc.

i love it.

except....

the mighty mouse!!!

it scrolls down, but doesn't scroll up!!!!

it is soooo annoying!!

when i scroll the little ball down...everythings fine...the page scrolls down and everything.....

but when i try to scroll the little grey ball up....nothing happens....

i have to repeatedly move my curser to the right hand side of the page where the scroll bar is and drag it up.

i tried altering the scrolling options from systems preferences, but nothing that i have tried seems to work!!!

it used to scroll fine when we first got the computer (which was about a year ago), and sometimes it did stop scrolling up, but that would always fix after i messed around with the scrolling options for a bit in systems preferences....

but this time....nothing works....

its been months...and the problem is still there!!

please help!!!
how would i repair it?

Seems like it is a genuine repair issue. Something must have happened to the ball itself, it should be repairable as it works downward. I don't think any changes in the settings would help...

If your iMac is under warranty, you can take it to the service centre and they will replace your mouse free. Apple covers all accessories in the box under its 1 year international warranty. I am using the same mouse on my iMac and it works fine.
Hope this helps!
