I am moving to an apt. which is next to the I5 Seattle Freeway where the city will not be providing sound barriers.
I would appreciate sites that offer low cost solutions to reducing freeway noise for the apt w/o making holes in the wall.
I was also thinking that a noise-free area merely around the bed would be priority and perhaps all that I can afford to "noise-proof."
So even reduction of noise coming in around the area where my head will lay would be nice.
I don't want any type of head gear. That would just add to sleep issues/irritations.
Maybe there are special panels or a even a special "bed surround frame" has been manufactured?
Or some cone of silence that is conformable to just the head area?
Still, I would prefer something that surrounds the entire bed. Cheap/easy to install, etc.
Yes, I'll use carpet with a noise reduction pad and all that I can do to the bedroom at low cost but some one might have already have faced this issue and have particular/special/awesome recommendations.
I would like to look at specialized products and/or sites
I've spent so much time researching this and finally decided that I need the help of others so I came here to post another question.
Thanks for your help in advance.
I'll be using my special air mattress with latex toppers on a very, very solid wood frame.
I am ill. I have an auto-immune disorder which can affect my sleep and I need much sleep. I am in pain while sleeping, also, and this already disrupts my sleep.
Forgot to add that there is no option to add more trees and such. The apt. is on the 2nd floor
