Anxiety from Buspar?

I am taking 20mg/day of buspar generic. I suffer from general anxiety disorder and some depression. Like alot of people on here, paxil works wonders for me but in trying to avoid the side effects I have taken myself off of it a year or so ago.

Anyways, tried no meRAB at all and have gone back to realizing it's part of my life and I need them. So I tried buspar because I heard it's a great anti-anxiety drug. It seems like the first 2-3 weeks I felt better (might have been psychological) but into week 4 or 5 I have noticed I think its actually making me more nervous, a bit manic. Has anyone else noticed this with buspar?

Any comments will be helpful... thanks!
 
Possibly bump up the dose. The typical doseage is 30 mg daily (15mg X 2).
That is what I did when the 20 was not doing much. Greg
 
My doctor has me on 60 mgs of buspar and 60 mgs of celexa. Anxiety seems to be controlled at this amount.
 
I was on 30mgs of Buspar for a few months with success, then started feeling more anxiety than usual. I actually went DOWN In dosage to 20mg and believe it or not, my anxiety was better. I am now also taking Effexor XR and am going to still take the Buspar too.
 
I took 60mg of buspar 20mg 3 times a day and I did notice a not 100% fine attitude after 6+ months.

I eventually took Ativan and that helps me better.
