I have had generalized anxiety since around high school (I am 23 now). It has gotten better... I no longer have panic attacks but I still cope with anxiety often but I manage to control it sometimes.
I have been on and off xanax (low dose of .5 mg) but its not prescribed . i start a new job in 2 weeks and I am SO SCARED of failing the drug test they do for illegal drugs. I don't do any illegal drugs though but am scared I will fail if they test for benzo drugs and they find traces in my body.
I am so nervous about this... what can I do? I just want my anxiety diagnosed so I can have a proper prescription for my drug test so I don't fail. The best thing to do is visit a mental health professional asap, right? I just dont want to get into any trouble when I tell them I have been using .5 mg of xanax that's not prescribed. Will they get me in any trouble?
