I've had anxiety and stress related issues for about 4 years now. They get better from time to time and sometimes I feel like I can't control them. Recently I noticed my vision sees everything as though it's on a slight downhill. Almost like I'm looking down a slope at everything. I have been to a nuraber of eye doctors and all have tested my eyes and said there is nothing wrong with them.
My Hypnotherapist advised that it was coming from my anxiety, but the last time I got this 'downward' vision it lasted a week then went away for like a year or so. I've had it now for about a month and it won't go away. I can see fine & I can focus on everything fine and I don't get any blurry vision. It's just that straight surfaces look as though they are on a downhill slope. Has anyone else noticed similar vision problems that comes from their anxiety? I'd love to hear from you. Thanks :)

Yup exactly the same as me then...my eyes are usualy tired aswell as i work nights...then have to get up in the day to do other things and dont get enough sleep etc which doesnt help.

i realy wish there was something we could do...i also hope someone can come along with a solution to help us both ;)

Ive suffred with anxiety for around the same...3 maybe 4years now and know exactly what you mean....i have the same problem.

It happens alot to me at work, especialy around this one girl who i sort of find attractive, instead of walking past her normal and looking stright on my anxiety kicks in and i look at the floor and i dont know why...i find it hard to focus on people aswell if theyre talking to me....i know exactly what you mean though.

ive not been to a doctor or anything....i dont think theres anything we can do to be honest.....anxiety :(

I'm sure we'll get past it, I did last time it came. Just stay positive and try not to think about it.

I was able to get rid of it last time it came and it didn't come back until about a year later. Last time i got rid of it by forgetting about it but I can't seem to get it out of my head this time. I'm sure it'll pass again but it's taking longer this time around. Maybe because I'm doing my head in more about it.

But it is very annoying, especially when your in a big open area like a shopping center because the downhill vision looks steeper the further I look.

Its actualy only a recent thing for me...i never used to do it,Im not sure if its a sign that my anxiety is/has got worser.

By the way i hope it doesnt seem like im hijacking your thread here....just wanted to show that your not alone ;)

Yeah it's been a recent thing for me too. I was fine until a few weeks ago, but I'm not 100% convinced that it's entirely from my anxiety... because my anxiety had gotten a lot better recently and I was a lot happier. This stupid illusion with my eyes has brought back the anxiety if anything...

Does it feel like your sort of crossing your eyes when you do it? thats how it feels to me.

what i mean by crossing your eyes...for example try to look at the tip of your nose with your eyes....they cross...thats how it goes for me exept i look down on the floor.

this may sound wierd to other people reading this post....but its actualy not nice at all.

Yeah it does feel like I'm crossing my eyes, that slight strain on my eye. I thought it was from my job because I'm driving a lot. It's probably a mix of anxiety and tired eye muscles.
