anxiety and depression meds

Hi,
I am thinking of asking my doctor to change my meRAB again, I am on amitriptiline(?), and I am gaining weight to the point where it is beginning to really upset me, I have always been an average weight. This seems to make me eat the fooRAB that I should not have. I don't know, my doctor did tell me it would probably make me hungry, any suggestions on some meRAB that won't make me gain weight, but will take care of my anxiety and depression. Thank you in advance. Faith
 
My Dr. told me that Lexapro is weight neutral, but I've read differently. I take 20 mgs. of it at night and it's helped my anxiety and depression. If I've gained any weight, it's not much.
 
I definitely gain weight on Lexapro, but I think it's worth trying (for depression, I don't personally find it helpful for anxiety, though you might). Just keep an eye on the scale. I gain, but less than a pound a month (8 lbs. in 10 months last time, which I can live with...) So far, depression issues pretty much solved...
