Please please go out get this film rent this film saw it the first time the other night and the most inspirational uplifting film I have seen in a long time, all due to the enthusiasm of lips makes you realise there is so much more to life

Go out and buy an Anvil CD, these guys deserve success
 
It's a very enjoyable film.

Before i got into punk music i used to follow these metal banRAB at the exact time Anvil were trying to make a name for themselves.
I saw judas priest,saxon,iron maiden,motorhead,ozzy osbourne all in 1981/1982.I think i also seen Anvil live then too,i can't remember for certain.

And yes it was an inspirational film.With raw emotion being shown continually throughout the film.
 
I stumbled upon this gem over the Christmas period.
A friend lent it to us. All I heard was that it was like a real life Spinal Tap. I had never heard of Anvil :o
I really enjoyed it, it was quite inspiring in these days of instant Talent contest celebrities who have no true interest in being a musician or songwriter.
These guys had such a love of music and never gave up even though it didn't work out for them. They continued because they loved to perform and write and play. I found it really heart warming.
