antibiotics and gerd

I have just read that gerd can be multiplied by cipro and other antibiotics. I just receaved some Iv antibiotics and am now at home with cipro for 2 weeks. I didnt know why until I read some other opinions from here. I just hope that after I finish my cipro next week that my protonics will start to work again. Are there any fooRAB that would be better for me than others.
 
I am very interested on this. I just finished a 3 month course of Cipro for prostate problems. I have pretty much always been on Prevacid but had my heartburn under pretty good control. After I started Cipro, slowly over time my heartburn has gotten worse. I am now on Zegerid, to try and see if it helps any better. I have been having to take my prescription heartburn medicine and some mylanta just to keep things bearable. Right now I can't even eat because everything keeps getting stuck. I have an appointment on Monday with my GI to see if he can help me out.

Anyone have information on this?
