I am a New Yorker who lives in England. I am very annoyed by the claims that people from the U.S. are ignorant about the rest of the world while at the same time I see wild claims in the European media about things in the U.S.
One of the things that really annoys me is that Europeans like to claim that American media ignores the outside world - this is nonsense, if one reads things like the New York Times, Washington Post, watches Fox, CNN, etc, listens to NPR, and a variety of other news outlets, one can get a fairly good view. Not to mention going online. (PS: I mean if one pays attention to all of these news outlets, not just one).
For Non-Americans: Do you perceive an anti-american bias in your media? I certainly do.
