I replaced the airbox/filter/boots with individual air filters. While tightening the hose clamps I noticed if I tightened them too much they'd slip off the carb flange. I'm guessing that's because they're tapered.
I have them on there pretty good but I'm afraid they'll fall off after being bounced around from riding.
Should I have put some Perma-tex or some type of sealant or adhesive around the flange before tightening the clamps to help keep them in place?
