A farmer came home from the market one Saturday with a lively new rooster in hopes that he would get along with the ladies and eventually replace his old (yet trusty) Rooster Jake. Later that day after the youngen had some time to get used to his surrounding old Jake saunders over to say hello. The young rooster can barely sit still with excitment lookin around at all the good lookin chickens on the farm, he couldn't wait to get on with his job.
"well there speedy" Jake said, "slow down a minuite. You know, theres a rule in these parts. When a new rooster tries to take over a farm he's gotta give the old rooster a bit of a chance first. How be we run a race. If I win, you get whatever chickens I'm too old and tired for. But if you win, I'll fly the coop and there ALL yours."
The young rooster thought about it, "Well thats a fools bet, I could beat with with 1 leg and half a wing old timer".
"ya, thats what I'm worried about" said Jake. "so how bout..." (((more to come.)))
