Killer Instinct V.S. Mortal Kombat?

Killer Instinct does that massive non-stop combos
Mortal Kombat Got "brutality"

Both of these games have similarity to each other. What do you guys think?
Whatever happened to killer instinct? It just disappeared and died. Miss playin that game -_-
