My Overdrive "OFF" light on my gear shifter just recently started blinking at me. It does not blink all the time just some of the time and the transmission is running smoothly. I took it out to I-75 and went down one exit with it and while driving down the Interstate I was able to turn the Overdrive off and on with the button on the gear shifter and it worked fine "The transmission down shifted in to 4th gear when I pushed the button the first time and shifted back to overdrive when I pushed the button again. All the while the OFF light was flashing at me the entire time but everything functioned correctly. What could be the solution to the flash? and two Could I fix the problem myself?
