Have you heard vespers at St John the Divine?
by Tom Tomaszewaki

I park my cab
warm summer twilight
walk up to cathedral
too large for humans
a stairway to heaven
in stone built by hands long gone...
inside air still with incense
and hot candle wax
candle flames unfluttering,
marble floor lisps with my steps
an honor guard of fluted sandstone
sequoias from the gates to the altar,
impossible and silent, reaching
for the vault, I sit down and melt
into the silence,
big pipes speak, trumpets
of Jericho, I open my mouth
to speak, but only feel the air
vibrating in me... nothing to say
but to feel the notes in my lungs,
sound gets lost in infinity of the
space and in my chest...
cold stone and metal pipes
sing songs of the ages lost

Almost every one of your posts contains another's poetry.

The words of good poetry will speak for themselves.

You need to account for your SELF.
