Another dumb text msg question.

So, since my email address is hooked up to my phone, i get a msg everytime i get an email. Are these msg's considered a text msg? For example, if i email my wife via my Pearl to her Pearl, do we each get charged a text msg fee? I have 400 any text and BB internet($19.99). I'm just worried that everytime I receive an email, which looks like text msg, it will be charged as a text. Thanx for the help!

diaz is correct, and actually you are not getting a "message" per say, the actual email is being pushed to your BB.

The other way to know that its an email not a text message is by looking at the name its sent by. It would say her email name not the name that you stored in your phone book for her phone number.

now would a PIN message be concidered a text message or is that also included in the dataplan?

pin is also through data...pin messages go directly to the other person's pin.
