Review
I bought this car about three weeks ago and so far I am very impressed. The Focus is a very responsive, quiet, comfortable and fun to drive car. I test drove a Nissan Sentra 2.0 and a Toyota Corolla Ce and neither were as good as the Focus. It is a small car so obviously fuel economy is great. I am an 18 year old car enthusiast and can tell you that this car is a lot of bang for the buck. I have also noticed that the quality of the interior compared to my buddy's old Focus is much improved. I highly recommend this car to any young buyer who is looking for a fun and affordable small car
The Ford Focus has been the oldest design in the compact car segment for some time now. When Ford decided a few years ago not to bring over the then-new European Focus that had met with wide acclaim, there were some questions raised. But of course, the world knew about the company's trials and tribulations, and an updated Focus for North America would have to wait – until now.
The 2008 Focus is not a radical departure from the last one, nor a development of the Euro version, but as one would expect, it is better in every way than the car designed in the 1990s was.
The funky hatchback and useful wagon are gone, replaced by a prosaic two-door coupe, joining the four-door sedan. Models include S, SE, and SES. Styling inside and out is truly all-new. Keeping up with all the other compact cars so-equipped, Focus now comes standard with side and curtain air bags, tire pressure m
Ford Focus vs. Honda Civic Review
How the Ford Focus stacks up against the Honda Civic - by Nigel Cooper, Topanga CA
Honda Civic Info | Ford Focus Info
Handling
With their comparable turning radiuses, the Ford Focus and the Civic most definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.
Drivetrain
The Ford Focus's engine isn't much more sizeable than the Honda Civic's.
Utility
The Ford Focus is likely a better choice than the Honda Civic in terms of hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of luggage or big pets. The Ford Focus and the Honda Civic can accommodate the same number of passengers.
Convenience
The Ford Focus's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Honda Civic.
Comfort
While the front cabin in the Honda Civic offers a bit more head room than the Ford Focus, there really isn't much of a difference.
