I have searched and it seems no one has the clear answer....i bought the dku-5 cable and downloaded and removed the old version the new version of PC suite, it doesnt work, called Nokia they told me it has to have 6 pins and not the 12 that this DKU-5 cable has, I want the right cable, i have heard use the dku-5 and use the ca-42 , any body have any insight?, thanks

I use the ca-42 cable with nokia PC suite version 6.6 and it works fine most of the time. Others times all I have to do is unplug my phone from the cable then the cable from the computer and do a restart. After the restart plug my ca-42 cable in my USB port and then plug into my phone.

After all that my nokia 6102 connects to my PC..

I have tried everything suggested and still am not able to get the phone and PC to talk to each other. A used Nokia OEM DKU-5 has been purchased for a reasonable price and I hope, when it arrives, that it will solve my problem. My daughter bought a Samsung cellphone recently with built-in IR and was able to download from her computer in minutes after charging her phone. Why can't Nokia, which makes great phones, provide purchasers with better service on their "accessories" (which should be part of the purchase price)?

y are yall wasting time on cables get an IRDA adapter and use infred. it just that easy, no connection problems

I have the CA-42 cable with Nokia PC Suite 6.7 have the conection manager set for the serial conection which lists that cable and it works fine takes about a minute maybe a little less to connect.
