dodge ram 1500 5.9L
this only happens about 50% of the time i drive but as im driving i hear an annoying squeeking sound coming from what seems to be my breaks. if i tap the break the sound stops but it starts up again as soon as i let off the break. the squeaking aslo gets faster as i increase speed. i looked at the rotors and it doesnt look like theres anything stuck in the break pads (like a rock or something) and the metal sheild on the back of the break isnt bent or anything. i havent taken the wheels off to look directly at my break pads but other than that i have no idea what to do or whats wrong.
also- when i press the break it DOESNT make a grinding noise so i dont think theyre worn out...
who knows...maybe some WD-40 is the fix im looking for. any help is appreciated.
