I am using a Canon 400D. I am shooting in raw and then using photoshop to make my adjustments before converting to JPEG for storage. When I have brought a region that was quite dark to a lighter state, I am finding that there are lines or probably better to say bands, that are running across the image. These bands are parallel to the border of the photograph. I´ve only started to see them since I´ve been processing my images in this way. I assume that the sensor is reaching it´s limitations.
Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do about it? Do more expensive cameras not have this problem. The 400D is hardly top of the range.
