Anime with strong/badass FEMALE protagonist(s)?

I know this question has been asked quite a lot. I'm specifically looking for a romance anime. So far I have watched:

Elfen Lied
Blood+
Vampire Knight
Fate/Stay Night
Soul Eater (still watching)

Any anime that are like the above is appreciated! Something with action. I don't exactly want a male lead either, because I think it's tiring and boring to always watch guys do all of the action >.<

Oh, and NO all female character animes, please (like Claymore...)
