Anime with a guy who is bad but good hearted?

is there an anime with the main guy most poeple think are evil, bad or an outsider but who is actually good hearted and stuff? and a girl likes him or he gets attached to her or she figure out he's really good.
he can be a criminal, highschool boy, or really anything with that story line.
