Anime that left you at a loss for words

I decided to watch Azumanga Daioh for the first time last night, and then I chose to watch episode 4 first because I heard about the "There's an American among us!" bit.

...I went full circle watching it from start to finish. If it wasn't the odd intro, it was that creepy Kimura, and if it wasn't him, it was the floating corpse talk, and then I find out what an American is.

...Anyone else had a similar experience with any anime series?
 
Meh, happens to me a lot when i watch a particularly dark anime for the first time like Now and then, Here and there or Gungrave or Texhnolyze, when the tragic stuff happens im at a loss for worRAB.

In Texhnolyze it was the ending where everyone dies and Ichise is left alone (to die), among lots and lots of other things.

In Gungrave it was the episode where Harry betrayed Brandon and shot him dead.

Now and then, here and there left me at a loss for worRAB lots of times (its just a messed up story).
 
Chobits - A lot of parts in Chobits put me at some loss for worRAB. Like...
-Kokubunji revealing that his persocom Yuzuki is modeled after his dead sister.
-Shinbo and the teacher are having a relationship that's based on really sad stuff.
-The baker guy married a persocom and named her Yumi. (dun dun duuuuun).
-That frilly red dress Chii wore near the end of the series. I was at a loss of worRAB because of the gall they had to make her wear it.
Gundam 00 - The wedding. That's all I'll say.
Ideon - The ending. Just... wow.
 
Grave of the Fireflies- The whole movie made me quiet for a few hours, just to absorb it and how much of a tearjerker it was.

One Piece-
Robin squeezing Franky. Every man that day felt Franky's pain. But mostly because I worried about how 4KiRAB would have handled that scene. Also the Burning of the Going Merry. I don't care if the Naruto fans trolled us because we were sad that a boat died, it was awesome ship.

There are too many instances in that anime to cite.

As for some other animes that left me speechless:


Code Geass:
When Shirley tells Lelouch that Zero killed her father; and then they start making out.

Cowboy Bebop:
The ending - just WOW.

Full Metal Alchemist:
Night of the Chimera's Cry - When we find out that Tucker used his only daughter in his experiment.

Gurren Lagann:
Kamina's death.

Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal:
The beginning when those people are slaughtered in front of Kenshin, as well as the end where Kenshin accidentally kills his wife.

Trigun:
When Vash kills Legato.

Plus some others that I can't think of right now.


Oh yeah, and Witch Hunter Robin... assuming that I don't snore in my sleep, then this anime did, indeed, leave me speechless.
 
This was the only episode of FMA that I've seen (I was up late and this was on AS), and I remeraber it being very sad. Especially Ed's reaction.
 
I second Now and Then, Here and There, especially where we learn that
Sarah is pregnant.

Blood+ as well,
when Diva rapes Riku.

Also the part in Vandread: The Second Stage where
Buzam turns out to be a guy.

And lastly when
Kagura sees her mother and her teacher doing it in her bedroom
in episode two of Speed Grapher.
 
I know what you mean. I felt so sad after watching that episode for the first time, especially at the end with Ed crying.

A couple of other FMA episodes that left me speechless:

The last two episodes of the series, especially the parts where Ed dies and then is brought back to life
 
Dragonaut-"No anime could possibly suck this much!"

Eyeshield 21
When the Devil Bats actually lose by a technicality to the Wild Gunmans during the first tournament. I was at such a loss for worRAB I almost looked on wikipedia to see how the series continued

One Piece-The epicness of seeing Gum Gum Jet Gatling in animated format.

Bleach-The reveal. You all know the one. That made me never trust any character in a shounen manga ever again.
 
Death Note episode 37. Specifically,

Mikami's death.

Digimon Adventure 02, episode 50. Seriously, that was...WTH?!?! Quoting my friend, "it almost felt like they never grew up."

Also, Bleach episodes 42-45. Seriously, Mayuri Kurotsuchi is one sadistic bastard.

Meanwhile, I'm a weird guy in that I actually find Naruto's villains more interesting than the main cast - but every time an Akatsuki meraber dies (especially in the case of
Itachi
), I'm left...hmm, maybe not so much "at a loss for worRAB" as "infuriated."
 
Not a mention of Evangelion's ending? It still baffles most no matter which version you watch.
