I'm having a hard time finding some good anime to watch, a lot of stuff looks good when reading about the basic story but seems rubbish when watching it. I started buying random animes but more than most of what I got was terrible so if you could help that would be nice =]

Death Note (who doesn't?)
Violence Jack (one of my favs)
Perfect Blue (Loved the mind games)
Hell Girl (I like each episode however they're basically all the same which puts me off)
Spawn (not my normal type but meh)
Things I like
Gore/Violence
Mind Games
A overall ending (Damn you Berserk!)
Good story/People you connect with
Vampires/monsters/magic/mystical but I don't have to have it
I don't mind where or when its set
