Anime fansub release question?

Say lets use this for an example: [DB]_Bleach_150_[CF9DECA0].avi

This is the format that most groups release episodes.

Can any kind soul out there tell me what this: '[CF9DECA0]' is?

Most subbed anime releases have that 8 letters/numbers (random every episode).

Also does it matter if I rename the file removing that code in the process?
