yo yo yo everyone

;D
sorry i havent been on in like 432423 years. Imma be even busier when i get my wii and zelda game tomorrow ;D. Well i decided to start something new because i like to get peoples opinions on a lot of things. So lets start this debate ;D

to BWA: thanks so much for the drawing! ;D i loved it and all of them were so great. you might need to give me drawing lessons though if i want to write my own manga one day lol.

Debate 1: You know how most all websites like crunchy roll.com and 32424 other anime sites host animes? Well i really didnt know that until i was reading anime insider a couple of days ago. But the editor said "yes watching those are illegal, but they wont last long." so im thinking? why are they illegal.

my pov:we know most of our animes by watching it from the computer. Because only very little appears on tv. And since we watch them online we fall in love with them and so on. Which causes us to BUY the items relating to that anime. Plus we give it more popularity. Most animes we love dont come on tv. So if they didnt have it on the computer then we would most likely not know about it unless your a millionaire and could afford it. Plus if anime wasnt online, would we really go to the store and pick out an anime that weve never seen (thanks to the people who took it off the internet.) and spend $40. What if we didnt like it? dont get me wrong i buy anime like yesterday i bought a season of naruto ;D and i buy one when i get them money, but the only reason i bought it is because i watched most the episodes online and liked it. I think taking it offline will hurt their sales?

whats your side? do you think that should take it off so people can buy more, or do you think they should keep it on?

;D

Flamers:please dont post rude comments or i will email you.

and merry early Christmas!
Merry Early Christmas everyone. I hope everyone has a good one.

CHRISTMAS!

The illegality comes from the fact that the parent company is not making money from the intellectual property

Well, to answer your concern Crunchyroll is going %100 legal starting the new year. This comes at the price, they will stop allowing people to download on their cite any anime apart from that was "sanctioned". (I feel sorry for those who paid money for the membership) However, the story of online watching will go on and numbers are probably will grow. You cannot completely prevent that, as they have discovered with the movies recently.
Where is no court decision on whether it is illegal to watch something on the Internet, but downloading is illegal in most of the countries. A lot of people want to make us believe that it is wrong thing to do, because the industry losing billions due to Internet piracy. The dilemma is that it is up to you to watch or not, by watching on the net you save your money, but on the other hand less anime will be produced and some anime producers will go bankrupt. The official sales of anime went down recently despite that in my opinion the popularity of genre had increased. As I said it is up to you what to do.

Anime is so expensive, of course so many people download and watch online; they can't afford it or where they live doesn't have much anime.

I think, hell yeah, we should support them and buy stuff - but they are VERY expensive. Hell, part 1 of Death Note is 100 dollars, I saw it at a store for that much. Other boxsets are in the 70s. And a anime volume is like 30-40 bucks.

xD Like, I've gotten the FMA boxsets, and for 12 episodes it's over 60 dollars. xD I can only get them like on my birthday or during a convention.

Basically if you can afford it/ get some dvds and support em! However if your just a teenager without a job, it's very hard to like, ask your parents for anime that is so expensive. xD My friends get a lot of DVDs so I borrow from them. But if you can't afford it I think it's okay to watch/download dubs/subs online, if it's the only place you have to watch em. But definitly we gotta support em and I agree with that.

Also good point; all the anime I know I started watching on the computer, except for the DVDs I borrowed from friends. But yeah, a lot of people will give something a try on the computer first. Anime is so expensive you want to make sure you like it before you get it. Also never seen ANY anime on tv before, besides Pokemon and Digimon when I was little. Actually, I saw Naurto and Bleach one at like 2 in the morning on Saturdays but that's it, and it's so late anyway.

I think it's cool to watch/download, but if you can, then yay, support them and buy stuff! Besides, I think we ALLL WANT the DVDS - they look awesome, great quality - the reason so many of us watch online is just because anime is so expensive and many of us don't have that money yet. When we're older and have jobs then it'll be easier to buy stuff more often.
