Animatrix Episode one released

The first episode of the animatrix has been released. The animatrix is a series of animations done by various animators set in the Matrix storyline.
The Wachowski brothers (people who did Matrix) have kept a fair amount of control of the storyline for the animations so you can consider the episodes to be part of the official storyline.

Unfortunately this is part 1 of a 2 part episode where the 2nd part isn't released till May. Arghh!! However, I've just watched it and I was really impressed.
 
It just confuses me why they've gone back to the format that the original film took so many influences from... ?!?! :confused:

I hear the first Animatrix short is being released as support to Stephen King's Dreamcatcher during March in the States and probably here. I think it's the Squaresoft Final Fantasy crew one. The DVD is out in June and if you're a fan of CNX's Cowboy BeBop you might like to know that 2 of the shorts is from the same director/crew as that series.
