Animated System Volume indicator missing?

I have an Asus A42F Laptop running windows 7, it has an amazing animated system (volume, battery and brightness level) indicator. It was suddenly disappeared and replaced with a non animated green bar indicator. It looked so ugly and I hate it. I tried to restore my Laptop to the previous setting but nothing happened, it did not bring back the original system indicator. What went wrong ? Can some one help me ? Please
