animated movies that scared you when you were little.

Ok so we were probably scared by atleats one animated movie in our life time.
what was yours?

mine ahppened to be the brave little toaster and hercules. The brave littletoaster was a pretty drak movie when it comes down to it. I think hades is what scared me from hercules.
 
Charlie's dream in All Dogs Go to Heaven where he believes that he's died again and sent to heck. The imagery was kind of intense for me when I first saw the movie. Even the nature of which Charlie originally dies, being drunk and hit by a car that sends him down a lake, was kind of scary too. I think that I saw the movie when I was around seven or eight. Maybe nine at the latest, but seeing all of that at an age like that was pretty scary.
 
Like, everything.

Especially Snow White. The wicked queen used to scare the heck outta me. She still kinda scares me, but not nearly as much.
 
Hmmmm, let's see...

The scenes featuring the villian in We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story freaked me out quite a bit, but it was his actual death in the movie that really messed me up for the first day I saw it.

Some of the more darker scenes in The Little Mermaid really creeped me out in parts, I'd say which one especially creeped me out a lot but I fear it might spoil a bit of the movie and also, I can't remember how to make the spoiler tag work again (I know, it's been a while :sweat:) so I'll just leave it at that.

From The Pagemaster, the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde scene and that very short Moby Dick scene both really frightened me for the first 3 or 4 times I saw the movie.

The TV movie The BFG's opening scene scared me quite a lot as well, but I soon put that aside when the "Whiz Bang! Whiz Pop!" song started to play.

And finally, I can also remember that single moment in Toy Story when Sid's dog wakes up when he hears (I presume it's a he) Woody's string pulled really making me jump!

Heh, apart from those, I wasn't scared of any animated movie I saw as a kid.
 
Simpson guy, it isn't possible to spoil The Little Mermaid. EVERYONE has seen it...

...and if you haven't, then what are you doing wasting time online right now? GO!
 
Watership Down was pretty frightening as a child, especially the scene where Captain Holly recounts how all the rabbits at his warren were buried alive and gassed. Harsh stuff. :eek:
 
I don't remember ever being scared by a cartoon as a kid.

I do remember, however, not remembering the movie at all.

I know that I used to watch Toy Story all the time as a kid, but after recently watching it, it was only until now when I fully understood all the dialouge and jokes and what was going on.

Like the "Hey Ham look, I'm Picaso!" joke.
 
most of early Disney was kinda scary..

Snow white running through the forest and the trees grabbing and most of the queen's scenes..

Pinocchio's donkey transformation nuff ,said.. and Monstro..

Dumbo's Pink Elephant scene..:ack:

Fantasia's Night on bald mountain .. really creepy and adult there..

Maleficent was one scary witch in Sleeping beauty..

Cruella De Vil's close-up when chasing the puppies in her car.. *yikes*..

I think Rescuers had some scary moments I think it was when Penny was in that undergound cave thing..

Black Cauldron .. really scary and really bad movie..

Great Mouse Detective the battle between Basil and Ratigan was really scary..

Oliver and Company.. I don't know if it counts as scary but I was sad when Roscoe and Desoto were electrocuted..
 
The climactic fight scene between Eddie Valiant and Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

"Remember me, Eddie? When I killed your brother, I talked... just... like... THIIIIIIS!"
 
I can't think of any cartoons that scared me as a child....About the only thing that did was the video for Michael Jackson's song "Thriller",which frightened me so much that I couldn't even stand to hear the song....

Had I seen them at an earlier age,the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence from Fantasia and Charlie's nightmare about going to Hell from All Dogs Go To Heaven might've scared me,but since I was about 10/11 when I saw them,they didn't faze me at all...
 
The Secret of NIMH - I saw this in theaters when it first came out. I'm not sure if I was scared by it, but it definitely was something different than I was used to as a kid.
