Okay, I have something to ask that I've been thinking and wondering about for the longest now. Why do some (or most) always seem to expect animated movies or t.v. shows that were adapted from some other medium (whether it be a book, live action film or program, etc.) to be faithful and just as good, if not better, than the original? Or even be the same? I mean, everyone should know by now how things taken from the original sources are commonly redone, separating and differing them from one another. If everything that was being remade met one's standards and considered perfect, then it wouldn't really be much of an adaptation, would it? There wouldn't even be a point to call it an adaptation if it followed exactly like the initial was done. But the thing about remakes is that at least we'd know which version of something is which, therefore we'd know what to refer and search. However, I guess it's probably more so a matter of quality for one. Another could be simply a matter of tastes and preferences. I could understand if that's the case. I'm not fully sure. What do y'all think and what is your take on them?
