...humans versus animal ones?cdtails? in other words, if a human commits a crime against an animal, should there be a difference in how that person is punished as opposed tot hat person committing the same crime with a human?

If a person murders an animal (kills it other than for a righteous purpose), should they get the death penalty? yes or no and why?

or does the fact that it is able to be killed for righteous uses indicate that the punishment is not to be on the same level as murdering a human?

is the sin of murder more severe when you do so to a human because humans are not to be used at all?

Is the sin of murdering animals to be defined as sinful abuse of your right to kill animals whereas the sin of murdering humans to be defined as something you did not have authority to kill?

it would seem this is an issue of authority. Would you agree that you do not have authority to kill humans for righteous uses, whereas you have authority to kill animals for righteous uses? therefore, the sin of killing animals is not in them being killed but them not being unrighteously used. Have I identitied a true clear distinction, or am I off the mark? If so, do you think the same thing that should be done to a human that murders a human should be done to a human that murders a fly?
