ANIMAL CROSSING FISHING ASAP!?

I need to catch a stringfish in animal crossing ds. The first person to give me these facts about how to catch it will get best answer;
shadow size, best time, months to catch it in; and just any advise on fish catching e.g. when it's raining you catch rarer fish- is that true.

Also because this is my last fish to catch I'll get my golden fishing rod. who do i get it from?
