Animal Crossing City Folk: Cool Clothes for Mott?

Help! Mott asked me to find him cool clothes, but he hates everything I've brought him. I've offered things I own, found, and have been given. I've even bought some stuff from the Able Sisters, but he still refuses.

What exactly is Mott looking for? Do I have to buy something from GracieGrace?
