Ok. My mum told me this story which is really weird so read carefully. This is a true story and not made up since the woman in the story was known in the village to never lie or exaggerate any situation and had a tendency to always speak the exact account of events.
When my mum was little, she lived in a village in another country, and in this village were mountains and caves where wild animals such as bears and wolves lived. These animals were usually hungry and would sometimes attack herds when farmers brought sheep, cows e.t.c. near the mountains to feed them, sometimes famers went there to collect wood and were severly attacked by hungry wild animals.
One day, a young man went up to these mountains and was attacked by a bear but managed to escape. the young man was heavily injured and couldn't stand for days.
The mother of this young man and her other son went up to the same place. Suddenly a bear (propably the same bear) tried to attack the mother's other son. The mother turned around and saw the bear and started screaming at it , saying things like "What do you want from us? Leave my son alone, leave my son alone, you already hurt one of my sons,as if that's not enough you're trying to hurt this one too!"
(women who lived in these poor villages often lacked education, so speaking to animals as if they were human was common!)
The bear slowly turned around from the son, looked towards the mother, snorted in a grumpy fashion , turned around and walked away.
how can you explain the behaviour of this animal? Could it be that the bear was female and somehow understood the instinct of mothers to protect their young and left the son alone and didn't even touch a single hair on him despite the fact that it was propably starving? That's the only explanation surely!
