Angle measurements in the form of a°b'?

A question in my Precalc homework says
Find the area of the triangle having the indicated sides and angle:
B = 68°45', a = 7, c = 4
What is this 45' after 68?
 
diciple: In prcise navigation, degrees are considered like hours and are divided into minutes and seconds; therefore, the 45' after 68 indicates 45 minutes or 3/4 of a degree past 68 or 68.75 degrees.
Example 55, 30', 40 " indicates 55 degrees ,30 minutes, and 40 seconds or 55.5666 degrees.
