Ok I have a Samsung Galaxy I7500 which runs android 1.5 and I'm having a BIG annoyance right now I don't understand. My contacts are on the fritz! I have a million email addresses on my gmail account for people I've only contacted once and it's adding ALL of them to my phone contacts list. Also, it's making triple copies of all my others so my list is growing every day! I turned off auto-sync and it's still happening. When I go to Settings > Data Synchronization there is only 2 options at the top and 3 "select to sync now" buttons below which are Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts. I DON'T want any syncing till I learn how to do it right so I just want the contacts I manually add and ones from my sim card... Also my contacts list shows "groups" with random names I have no idea how to edit either... "My Contacts, Drip1, Drip2, Starred on Android, Starred on android, and Wow Mobile" those are all the groups but how do I delete or edit them?
I'm sooooo annoyed at my phone right now. I just want it to leave my contacts alone and figure out how to edit the pre-programmed crap!
p.s. as you may have guessed, I got this phone a few months ago used.
