Hey, just an enquiry...

Does anybody know who was burried with the book of the dead?
Was it just the Pharoah or was it the general public that were burried in tombs

(by general public i mean the wealthy)
Thankyoux

Pharoahs and very important people.
They did have enough time, space,or care to give people like us a special burial.

If you seach on yahoo <type in book of the dead, and on one web site you can read scriptures from the book>

Every IMPORTANT Egyptian of MEANS had buried with him a papyrus of the Book of the Dead.

The Book of the Dead was basically a collection of ancient Egyptian funerary texts from various periods, containing prayers, magic formulas, and hymns to be used by the soul of the deceased for guidance and protection on its journey to the afterlife.

Scribes produced and sold copies, often colorfully illustrated, for burial use.

So, if you could AFFORD one, you got one.

umm..only important Egyptians mainly the Pharaoh was buried in tombs. Unless a peasant could afford it. they could also be buried in tombs
