Ancient Civilization(Ancient Egypt, Persia, Greece, Rome, etc.) vs Present Civilization?

which era of people are wiser, more spiritual (pure) and just downright more humanitarian in a sense of common knowledge?

Im not talking about technology, architecture, nor religion.
 
Every age has its downside. We may think we are cruel, but consider the past: it was typical of ancient armies to enslave the entire population of a defeated people, round them up and send them off to foreign lands, effectively making their civilizations extinct. One example of this is the Jews (who luckily survived their own dispersion). They were defeated by the Babylonians in battle, rounded up, and transported as slaves to Babylon. There they lived as such for many years.

So, in short, I would say that no age has a lock on wisdom. Only individuals can be more or less wise.
 
Rome (which other than America) is the most important empire in history. They where stronger, more spitual, and creative than onething else. plus they would have stop both world wars before they even began.
