A standard solution of iodine can be prepared by treating a known amount of KIO3 with excess KI in acidic solution:
IO3^- + 5I^- + 6H^+ --> 3I2 + 3H2O
Calculate the weight of the primary standard KIO3 needed to make 500.0 mL of 0.1000 M I2.
