I'm having some trouble with this problem. Exact value means i can't just use the calculator to find the degree (right?). sin/cos = tan, but none of the unit circle values create a (-3) when divided. Is it really simple and I'm not seeing it...or is it a toughie..?
Please show some work so i can learn from you..?
Thanks! =)
Find the exact value of the following, given.. tan a = -3, /2 a , and cot b = -3, 3/2 < b < 2
Sin ( a + b) =_____
Cos ( a - b) =_____
Tan ( a + b) =_____
Sin 2a = _____
