Analog TV or digital?

My sis purchase a 46" sharp aquos TV a few years back, forgot when. But it has 1 HDMI port,6 input. Anyway, we're trying to watch over-the--air broadcast, and it ain't working. we got a antenna dish and we try different method as well, using the smaller antenna and an amplifier. nothing work. Anyway, I was thinking cause all shows should be in digital now, so I checked to see if my TV was digital tv. Couldn't do it. no model number, and lost the manual. I can only tell it's sharp aquos and 46" (46" is debatable)

Anyway, i was going through the tv's setting and when i went to the TV input, it show AIR(Analog), so I though that was strange. So i try to put it to AIR(Digital) it wasn't possible, the option was blacked out. Only 2 thing in the TV was blacked out, that one and something else that say "digital" in it.

It doesn't say it's a HDTV, but i sorta assume since it has a HDMI port. and a HDTV should be digital already, right? If it's not a digital tv, should I get a analog to digital or a digital to analog converter?

thanks.
