An underlying cause for hands/feet swelling?

About 2 weeks ago, my hands a feet began to swell. I was hoping it was because I ate some salty food, and also I bar tend and wore flip flops the day before. When it didn't go away Monday, i got my blood pressure checked and it was 145 over 87. The next 4 days it was normal..between 115 and 120 over 73 ish.

Now last night and this morning, my hands are swollen again. My blood pressure is normal. Yesterday, I worked outside for about 4 hours weed whacking and lawn mowing, but I also ate Chinese food. I don't have insurance so I'm trying to put off going to the doctor, but I think I'd better get a physical/blood checked.

Has anyone had problems like this before? Not sure if I should associate it with salt intake or hard work...but I'm only 24 (average weight, not super skinny, but not fat either). It makes me wonder what (if associated with the work) the underlying cause is?

*I know I don't drink enough water, could it be something that simple? I was just diagnosed in November with Minear's disease (inner ear retains salt and makes you dizzy)...now I'm wondering if that's just the beginning symptoms of something else that is making me retain water?
