okay so about 5 days ago I cut my leg open about an inch - self-harm went wrong (yes I know, it's really bad.) , and it's just kind of open and gross. I've been cleaning it with salt water a little bit, pouring puroxide in it every night, and putting neosporin on the bandage every day.
Tonight when I put the puroxide on, it stung for the first time, and my friend said "it was getting used to it, and it got irritated by it." She told me to put vaseline on it lightly twice a day from now on, so tomorrow i'm going to go out and buy vaseline. But I don't know, my mom told me to let it dry and scab, but then my friend told me that will put it in more danger to be infected.
and I just don't know what to do!! It's too late for stitches!
Please help me!
P.S Yesterday I stopped putting everything on it except puroxide, because my mom told me to.
The color of the wound islike a dark red with a white color in the middle, whenever I take off the bandage its got this yellowy ooze on it and its really gross. please help.
