A boy who finds an abandon robot, but the robot doesn't like him at all because he was disowned by another owner. And after a battle, the two of them start to get along. I think that's how the main story went.
After each battle, the winner would get a piece of the other opponents robot to build onto their own robot.
I wish I could remember more, but I can't. If you have any idea what this cartoon could be, please tell me. I am dying to remember.
