I parked my car on a hill with a nice view of the city at night. About 10 minutes later I left, and a cop pulled me over further down the street.
He asked if I was parked at the top of the hill, what I was doing up there, if I had drugs, alcohol or weapons. He told me that someone called in that there was a 'suspicious vehicle' parked at the top of the hill. He ran my plates and registration.
He then told me to step out of my car, and I stepped out of the car and locked the door behind me. The dialogue afterwards went something like this:
"OK James, I'm gonna let you go now, I just have to search your vehicle first and if everything is OK, we'll both be on our ways"
"I'm not going to allow this"
"What?"
"I do not give you consent to search my car."
"Unless I am legally required to provide it, you do not have my consent to search my car."
"Well, James, your car matches the description of the car that someone called in about"
"OK, You still don't have my consent"

then he searched it.
