an obsession with smoothness!

I've figured out exactly why it is that I pick every single tiny bump on my face, even if it is skin-colored and doesn't look like a pimple. I am obsessed with smoothness! I can't deal with having any kind of bump whatsoever, so I pick and pick and pick in the hopes that something will pop out and it will flatten. Of course this is stupid, because what happens is I pick something that was almost invisible, it becomes a huge infected lump, and ultimately I am left with an indented scar. I just thought it was interesting that I've figured out that I'm more ok with a bright red scar than I am with an invisible bump.

Anyone else feel the same way? Any advice for how to stop what I know is so stupid?
 
YES! I am still dealing with bumos myself and some hormonal acne here and there. I still have not found an answer for these little bumps that annoy me so much but I'm still searching!
