An apple snail, 6 cherry shrimp and a betta in a 5 gallon tank?

This is what my mom wants in her tank, I looked it all up and it seems ok to me but I just want to hear what other people think. The tank is cycled, has a cave and fake plants, a filter, and heater. If the snail gets too big or doesn't work out, I have a 30 gallon long with my two goldfish I can move it into.
I never said I would move the betta from the 5 gallon, I said if the SNAIL gets too big or if he's a problem, I'll move him into my big tank. My mom is just really set on getting a snail because she likes them. I know some of the shrimp may get eaten, that's alright, they might breed or I can just get a couple more. Also not to sound like a jerk but I had a betta in a vase for at least 3 years and he was happy, so they really don't need 5 gallons all to themselves.
