~The children with tears~
By, an American Citizen

Around the world and back once more
Is where I find the horrors of war
Some say they’re here some they’re not
I wish the wars were never fought
The men the women, the bullets the fire
The bombs that go off with no such desire
The boys the girls, they know not what we
Do with our lives, living completely free….
We eat at McDonalds and idolize miss Hilton
As they sleep in their beds feeling the fear, so built in…

This poem won’t flow as you wish to…
You could judge, you could laugh, you could feel oh so blue
But I write this poem not just for me or for you or even my readers, my listeners my peers
But to remind myself of the children with tears...
Who I sometimes forget as I go to the bank
definitely not thinking “thank god there is no tank”
Patrolling my streets and keeping me scared
So that I won’t play, just walk, and skip….. if I dared.

I am done with this poem my point has been said
War’s a great way if you want to be dead.
Cold yes I know, but I say it SO YOU
Can maybe, JUST MAYBE, be one of the few
Who thinks to themselves, how lucky we are!...
To be blessed here n’ now with war off afar
Afar, away, so far gone from here
That at times I forget….the children with tears
Sure,….
I have little money and I’ve lost my career
But at least I’m not dead, or living in fear
So Peace, peace is what we need today
Peace not with bullets, but so children can play
So that we can hear, one glorious day!....
“thank you great grampy you brought peace here to stay...”

Any opinions on my message, my poem..my style..am I good? opinions of war or on peace?... :( ....wat do you guys think :)
