americans NHS debate? what's wrong with free care?

why are some Americans so against free health care? just because britain has crap health care (dont disagree, we really do, look at all the super bugs in the hospitals) it's not like the americans are going to make the same mistake as we did, surely they'll get better free health care. i dont see why there going nuts about it, shouldn't the poor be grateful for the free health care? i know i am, even though our NHS is crap
